Leadership grounded in compassion

Meet Our Board

Each member brings lived experience, care, and a shared commitment to ensuring grieving families never have to walk alone.

President

Christina Heirs

I love helping others in every walk of life—whether a first-time mom, someone caring for aging parents, or a loss mom. After ten years of infertility, four IVF pregnancy losses, and another loss after welcoming my first rainbow baby, I found understanding and community through UMLF. I later welcomed another rainbow and my pot-of-gold baby, and I remain committed to helping other mothers know they are not alone.

Vice President

Sarah Fry

I am a wife and stay-at-home mom of three with a heartfelt commitment to supporting mothers who have endured the unimaginable pain of losing a child. Having walked this path myself, I offer a warm, compassionate ear and a safe space where mothers can share openly, find comfort, and remember that they are not alone.

Secretary

Devan Borgstrom

After experiencing the crushing heartbreak of miscarriage twice, I found hope and understanding through a pregnancy-loss support community. That experience ignited a deep commitment to offering compassion, validation, and support to other mothers navigating loss so that no woman has to walk this path alone.

Treasurer

Stacie Kontz

I am a dedicated military wife and Michigan native who is passionate about providing meaningful support for women during times of loss. I bring financial care, integrity, and heartfelt commitment to the Foundation’s mission.
